Built for one client, and theirs to switch off.

These terms cover software we build and run for a named client under a written contract for services. That includes internal tools that connect to the client's own accounting system, such as QuickBooks Online.

The software is provided to that client only. It is not sold, listed or offered to anyone else. Where the client's contract with us and these terms differ, the contract wins.

A tool only connects to an accounting system when someone at the client signs in to that system and approves the connection. We never connect on their behalf.

The client can disconnect at any time, from within the tool or from their accounting system's app settings. Disconnecting revokes our access at the accounting provider and deletes the access key we hold. Nothing else needs to be done.

A connection uses the narrowest access the job needs. For QuickBooks Online that is the accounting scope only, not payments.

Our invoicing tools create new invoices when a member of the client's staff asks them to, and read the client's recent invoices, customers, products and tax codes so they can avoid duplicate invoice numbers and duplicate billing. They do not edit or delete an existing invoice, and they do not send anything to the client's customers.

We keep the access key the accounting system issues, encrypted at rest, plus the identifier and name of the connected company and the last invoice number used. We do not keep a copy of the client's financial records.

We do not sell, share or analyse the client's data, and it is used for nothing except running the tool for that client. How this website handles visitors is covered separately in our privacy notice.

The tools check their own arithmetic and stop rather than guess, but the client remains responsible for the invoices it sends to its own customers. The tools create invoices unsent so they can be checked first.

Our liability is as set out in the client's contract with us.
